Part time/Permanent Housekeeper for family home in Canterbury, Melbourne - AANM

A family of five is seeking an experienced housekeeper. The role involves house cleaning, ironing, general household management tasks such as collection of groceries, putting groceries away, picking up dry cleaning, pharmacy collections etc. It will involve general supervision of children, aged 11, 15, 18 years old, after school and transporting them to activities. There may be additional tasks to be mutually agreed upon. Their dog will be home during your working hours and walking her will be encouraged. Cooking is not a requirement, but the ability to make simple family meals or baking would be an advantage.
- Tasks will include all household cleaning - vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, occasional tasks like wiping down shutters, general tidying, changing beds, laundry/ironing, folding and putting away clothes.
- Supervising children after school - homework, music practice.
- Transporting children to or from activities if required.
- Groceries - collection from supermarket, putting away.
- Cooking - simple meals, baking
- Dog walking
The role will suit someone with excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. You will be free to organise your time as you see fit to enable the tasks to be completed. You will need to be friendly, kind and generous. The family will be looking for you to set a relaxed and positive atmosphere in the home.
Requirements:
- Driver’s License and own vehicle
- National Police check or be able to obtain
- Working with Children Check
- Fully COVID Vaccinated
- Contactable References
Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays 3pm – 7pm and each second Friday 3 – 7pm
Hourly Rate: Depending on experience, negotiable
