A fun-loving and busy family of 5 are looking for an executive housekeeper to upkeep their two private residences. Currently, one home is an apartment on the city fringe (parking provided) and the other is a holiday home in Shoreham, on the Mornington Peninsula.

The role is 5 days per week from 9am to 5pm or 9.30am – 4pm if you would prefer less than the standard 38 hour working week.  Some flexibility will be required with weekend work and additional time for evening events that may occur from time to time (any overtime will be paid).  The position will see you spend 4 days based at the city apartment and 1 day at Shoreham (an hour’s drive away).  During school holiday periods, the days will change to 4 days at the sea-side house and 1 day in the city apartment, depending on where the family is based. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Vacuuming carpets and rugs, sweeping/vacuuming, polishing, and mopping hard floors
  • Making beds and changing linens and towels
  • Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and sanitary kitchen area
  • Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces
  • Sorting, washing, loading, unloading and putting away laundry and carrying out with care all laundry and ironing (including shirts, linen and ironing shirts and clothing as required) with a sound knowledge of fabrics and how to care for them.
  • Spring cleaning and managing cupboards, pantry etc. on a regular basis
  • Occasional cooking and/or food preparation
  • Assistance with three children (over 10 years of age) as needed – occasional drop offs/pickups etc
  • Occasional support for functions including set up, food and drink service and pack up

 

Essential skills and requirements:

  • Have excellent housekeeping experience including cleaning expertise
  • Have experience of at least 3 years in a similar role (5* hotel or private)
  • Take pride in the presentation of your work
  • Neatly presented
  • Work with a high attention to detail
  • Show discretion
  • Enjoy working independently
  • Possess a full Driver’s license, National police check and Working with Children Check
  • Be a non-smoker

 

Hours:  Flexible 9am – 5pm or 9:30am – 4:00pm

Salary:  A generous salary package with Superannuation and leave entitlements are on offer based on $40+ per hour, with standard overtime paid.
