Experienced House Manager required for family home in Melbourne! (HMCH)

 We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced House Manager to work for a fantastic family in South Yarra.

This exciting and demanding role will include working very closely with the Personal Assistant and all members of this busy family to cater to their needs and ensure smooth running of their home and family life including packing for holidays and maintaining clothes/family possessions. The family also have a dog which you would need to be comfortable with looking after.

You must have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills as you will be responsible for general errand running, coordinating children’s school requirements/activities, keeping the house provisioned/organised. You will also manage external trade persons, maintenance staff, cooks and cleaners.


  •          Previous experience working for a private family with children.
  •          Previous experience in household management & event organisation
  •          Extremely detail oriented with excellent organisational skills
  •          Experience with diary management
  •          Knowledge of how to maintain household appliances and equipment
  •          Mature and confident
  •          Excellent budgetary skills
  •          Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Apple products
  •          Administrative experience
  •          Ability to manage strict deadlines
  •          Be able to prioritise and work under pressure
  •          Good initiative
  •          Capability and diligence
  •          Professional demeanour and excellent personal presentation
  •          Be able to maintain composure when communicating
  •          Great with kids
  •          Confidentiality and discretion

You will need to have permission to work in Australia (ie residency or long-term work permit) and normal Australian working conditions apply.

 Start Date: October/November 2017

Work Hours: Approx. 30-35 hours a week. 9am-4pm Monday-Friday, allowing for some flexibility when family are on holidays or special requests.

Salary: Generous, dependent on experience
