Executive Housekeeper for residence on the Gold Coast, QLD - QLDM

A professional couple are seeking a part-time housekeeper to work in their family home in Mermaid Beach and to help in maintaining their other properties located in Main Beach and occasionally helping in their hinterland home alongside a house manager.


The role is 6 hours a day 4 days a week with 3 days spent at their family home and the one other day at their other property. There is a requirement for some weekend work when one of their properties in the hinterland have additional guests stays and events.


Your main responsibility would be maintaining the interior of their family home with a high level of detail, making sure it is always clean and organised, have a good sense of experience in laundry, maintaining household supplies and running a few personal errands for the owners.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Provide a high level of housekeeping and organisation, including bed making, deep cleaning and maintaining a high level of detail.

·         Have a good sense of laundry procedures.

  • Work closely with the other house manager in maintaining the other properties and assist when needed to ensure a smooth-running turn over during guest stays.
  • All functions required to keep the house clean and in immaculate condition.
  • Running occasional errands and assisting with grocery shopping for owners as directed.
  • Monitor and purchase inventory for the home including but not limited to keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies.
  • Spring cleaning and managing cupboards, pantry, etc. on a regular basis.
  • Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste and recycling.
  • Any other tasks required for the day-to-day running of the household as required.
  • Identifying any maintenance issues and reporting back to owners.
  • Supervising contractors including cleaners, gardeners, pool cleaners & trades as required.


 Experience/skill set required:


  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in an executive housekeeping role and knowledge of housekeeping and laundry protocols.
  • Must be OK with 2 small dogs in residence
  • High attention to detail and enthusiasm.
  • A high level of organisation.
  • Possess a QLD Driver’s licence and ability to travel to the other 2 properties.
  • Flexibility to work additional days during weekends.
  • Neat and groomed appearance.
  • Speak fluent English.
  • Be professional, honest, and reliable.
  • Non-smoker.


Hours: 8:30am – 2:30pm x 4 Days per week


Annual Salary based on 24 hours per week - Depending on experience, plus Superannuation
